First experience at a B&B and had the best time! Carl was super helpful and provided great service. Perfect location near shops and restaurants.Will definitely stay again when visiting the island!
Very quaint and charming inn located in the heart of Nantucket's historical district close to shopping and restaurants. Management is very friendly and knowledgeable about Nantucket's attractions and beaches. Would definitely stay here again. It was a great choice and is very reasonably priced.
We loved every minute! Carl and the staff are so welcoming and accommodating. Great continental breakfast, amazing cranberry wine and yummy, warm chocolate chip cookies. Beautiful old charming hotel. Our room was lovely!
I arrived at the Veranda House late in the evening and there was no key/instructions for me. I called the hotel and the voicemail still said they were closed for the winter (they were not). Long story short, I ended up going behind the desk to the large wall of keys and helped myself to the keys and let myself into a room that was THANKFULLY empty. This wasn't the Nantucket welcome I was hoping for. It is quite disconcerting that there is an unsecured wall of keys open to the public with room numbers on them... I could have easily let myself into any of the rooms. Luckily my intentions were just to get a good night's sleep. Check out this photo! I wouldn't bring my family to stay here and feel comfortable about it...
The Veranda House is a place that I would most certainly re-visit. The rooms are fantastic, and the general environment just amazing. Carl, the manager here is so warm and welcoming and just caters beyond expectation. Although only here for a short 4 days, they couldn't have been a better 4 days.
