Double thumbs up for the Centerboard!

The accommodations were excellent, and the continental breakfast was more than adequate. Close to Main St., the location is ideal. We backpacked to the inn from the Hy-Line ferry in about 5 minutes.

Wonderful old house in a great location in town with terrific innkeeper. It is a 5 minute walk to the town center and 10 minutes to the lighthouse and beach. We had room 6 which is larger than most with a nautical decor and its own galley. It was perfect for my wife and me but can accommodate a family of 5 easily. Outstanding home baked goods at breakfast. I booked it on line but spoke to the innkeeper first to get her suggestions.

The common area was a bit small, but luckily, there is a front porch so if people were in the common room, other groups of guests could go to the porch to chat.

The staff was great, both women were very friendly, informative, took a lot of time to answer questions and talk about the history of the Inn, etc. The breakfast was very good, even though a continental breakfast, each morning, there was so much to choose from, fresh fruit, baked goods, toast items, cereal, yogurt, etc.

We really enjoyed the cookies Eva baked! We wish there were some on the day we were leaving for our journey home, but we left before the cookies were even starting to be made.

The inn is totally adorable, crisp white bed linens with hints of color in the rooms all very tastefully appointed. Barbara was very kind and helpful giving us recommendations on things to do while we were there. Nantucket was absolutely beautiful even in mid November. Many business and restaurants close that time of year so after 4 days it was a little hard finding something to do. Definitely planning on going back during a warmer month. The locals were very friendly too.

Room was great: clean, with plenty of room (3 beds), and a kitchenette. Nespresso coffee in the room was a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious, and the front room of the hotel lobby was bright and inviting. Kathy and Peter were fantastic hosts. We had a nice long chat with Kathy, and Peter's cooking was beyond compare. They have certainly found their niche in hospitality.

We really enjoyed our stay. Location was great, just outside of center, so not so noisy, but easy to walk downtown for anything. The bedroom was very nice, the only complaint I would have is the mattress and pillows seem to need updating, both a bit soft and worn out to me.

I would recommend the Inn to friends.

Highly recommend a stay at the Centerboard, if you're headed to Nantucket. Barbara was a peach, and very helpful with up-to-date info on sights, restaurants, and activities on the island.
