We stayed there 3 nights during Christmas Stroll 2016. You couldn't ask for a better location - just a few blocks off the main street. The building is in very good shape - an older house (like most in Nantucket), with many smallish rooms and a lot of atmosphere. The manager was very accommodating with all of our requests. We stayed in the Tuckernuck- a very lovely room with big bathroom. Breakfast was served daily with a nice selection of fresh fruits, fresh breads, pastries, etc. I have no complaints with the Carlisle House Inn. I would definitely stay there again.
My husband Steve & I stayed at The Carlisle Inn for 3 nights at the end of August. Our first time in Nantucket, The Carlisle Inn was the perfect place to stay! Walking distance to town, a bike-ride from the beach and at the end of a charming street. The owner Heather was wonderful! Her delicious breakfasts of freshly made muffins, cakes, fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee, etc. added a warmth to an already cozy, charming home. The breakfast area has all windows, and looks out onto a lovely back yard, where there are tables and chairs to enjoy your morning coffee or even spend a few hours relaxing. Our room was spacious, clean and had a real "Nantucket feel". Heather's invitation to all of her guests the last night for wine and cheese was very fitting. We met the nicest people, many of whom have become "regulars" at her home. We thank Heather for being so gracious and making our Nantucket Long Weekend such a great one!
Adorable, peaceful, and walking distance to everything! Very clean! The Innkeeper is amazing - she bakes her own goodies for the provided breakfast in the morning. We loved enjoying breakfast on the screened-in patio or in the backyard! Such a treat!
Nice bed and breakfast. Bed was super comfy. We had a large bathroom which was nice. Owner is friendly and provides breakfast. Sometimes there are some baked treats throughout the day. Good location to the historic downtown.
