everyone is very friendly and would do anything to make sure your stay is good.
We're just back from a blissful Nantucket island visit. Pineapple Inn was a wonderful B&B experience. We utilized the Jitney to the Summer House in 'sconset and enjoyed the beach (towels and chairs provided) as well as great dining above the beach. The Pineapple rooms were very clean and private. There is a patio with three tables for enjoying breakfast or reading/conversation or BYOB. Walk to everything. Our stay wouldn't have been complete without several kind interactions with Joyce who is a simply one of life's joy's!
I loved this ancient house. It was old with tons of character and located a short walk into town. Staff was friendly and helpful. If you feel like staying somewhere rustic instead of modern for a change this is a good option.
We never met the proprietor. The staff was openly hostile. Breakfast consisted of cold cereal, fresh berries, cold hard bread (but the staff toasted bagels for their own consumption, but these were not available for the guests). The rooms are very tiny, and we had to remove a chair in order to walk around the bed. Our keys were waiting for us in envelopes when we arrived, but we never met or received any information from the owner. This is our most disappointing B&B of several Nantucket visits. Avoid the Pineapple Inn if you can find reservations elsewhere (and you can).
