My girlfriend and I stayed here for an offseason weekend. The innkeeper Skye was extremely friendly and helpful about where to go an what to do. We had cookies waiting for us at sign in on Friday night freshly baked. The breakfast was verrrry good. No bacon, but Portuguese bread was excellent. We are recommending this spot to all our friends and family. Drinking at the widow's peak also provides an amazing view of the downtown area and harbor.
Best kept secret on the island
This place was amazing! Caroline the Inn keeper was fantastic. The continental breakfast hit the spot and the coffee was fabulous. Location is perfect and conveniently situated. We were able to walk everywhere with ease. If there was a slight draw back it was just the their internet connection was slow, but then again who cares when you are on vacation. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a great place to stay at.
We spent the weekend there and had a wonderful experience. The Inn is close to everything so you can walk around with ease. The home is charming and Skye our innkeeper is wonderful. I highly recommend staying at the Martin House. Skye's warm personality and great cooking made this a place we want to come back to. Thank you.
Had an excellent time here. It's located central to everything downtown. Jetties Beach is a short walk away (15 - 20 mins) The MHI provides beach towels for you if you want. The inn keeper Carolyn puts out an excellent continental breakfast. Don't miss her scones!! The widows walk is best enjoyed under the stars with a bottle of wine. We will be back!
