Beautiful things. But I purchased something and had it shipped to my home. Pieces were broken. I called and was told the pieces would be replaced. It's now been 3 months and not only has it not arrived but they ignore my repeated messages. Would be really nice if you could go to a nice place like that and feel your money was well spent. Instead, I feel totally ripped off.
Nice store but rather rude. I bought a bowl at Christmas stroll that was mailed to my home. It arrived broken. I called to report this and now, 5 weeks later, 3 phone calls with messages left on their answering machine, 2 emails sent and additionally someone who lives on island personally went in to report this ---- I have NOT received any response. The store is open and no one is responding to any of the above. I will now call the Chamber of Commerce and send a certified letter to the store.
If I could give zero stars I would! Yes, The Lion's Paw (LP) looks lovely, but that is deceiving. Bought an item, the LP insisted upon giving me a "new" one from the stock. Got home and discovered they had given me the wrong item. The Lion's Paw DID respond to my calls one time, after 14 calls and an email, and said they would send me another item in 2 weeks. It has been 2 months. The Lion's Paw does not ever answer the phone, and will not return my calls left on voicemail, nor my emails. I called the Nantucket Chamber of commerce , and they said, sadly, most of their complaints are with this store. Many many complaints about these types of things with this store. The Lion's Paw is not a member of the Nantucket Chamber of Commerce, so sadly nothing can be done, except for me to try to inform everyone about this disappointing store with a review on line.
This store is very cute in person and filled with great merchandize, but dealing with them remotely has been a nightmare. They do not respond to emails for weeks, they don't pick up the phone, and their customer service is nice but does not get the job actually done. I don't need you to be nice, I need you to place and ship my order without me having to wait weeks to do so. Looking at the other reviews, this seems to be a recurring problem, so I will not be shopping here again. Don't recommend it - simply not worth the hassle.
