Great place to pick up a book on local history.
Mitchell's is one of the great independent book stores. The people behind the counter are always reading, and they can find the book you heard about on the radio, but can't remember the title of. They have author signings and writing workshops, and it's just one of the great places still left to shop for books. Plus, I order my books through them now, and they are just on top of things.
Another great bookstore. Great variety, has a cool upstairs! Had nantucketoploy when we visited.

This bookstore is wonderful. It reminds me of being a kid. They don't make bookstore like this any more, so much like the rest of the island, enjoy it while you're there.
